Collective Sigh
For the record, I am not much of a Wine connoisseur, but I do have a favorite place to drink wine. Sbrocco’s on Court Avenue is one of the greatest places to drink Wine in the city. For one, they have Wine. Who knew? For two, they have a fabulous restaurant headed by Chef Darin Sturgill. Chef Sturgill uses organic and seasonal food to mold his culinary creations. Sbrocco’s passion for wine is very much equal to their passion for food, which I can attest is very true. Downstairs they have over a 1000 different kinds of Wine for sale by the bottle as well as a Cheese Bar, which I have not tried myself but I have heard the cheese is very good. On Thursday nights they have a Wine Tasting that runs from 5 to 8 pm, which is a good opportunity for those of you in the same non-connoisseur category like me. The tasting is a great way to hear about the wines as well as try a few you would otherwise not attempt to order for yourself. I would imagine we all need to a collective sigh and opportunity to sit back with a good glass of wine after all the election hoopla that has overwhelmed us all for the last two years. Or, if you like Beer, they have that too, but the selection is not nearly as vast as their Wine list, obviously. Head on out on Thursday night to taste some wine and have dinner at Sbrocco. Not only will your purchase have a direct impact on local economy, but it will also provide the necessary distraction needed to halt all the discussion about our new President-Elect. I know I will need it.
Thank you to Palm Court for the picture.
