Proving Des Moines is NOT boring

After Des Moines Mini Maker Faire

20140901_084420The first ever Des Moines Mini Maker Faire happened on Labor Day at Science Center of Iowa. The event brought all types of people together. The event was highly successful and attendance was over 2,600 people. Children and families came together to learn about all types of making, technology, engineering and science.

Guitar Center hosted three Music Labs where people could learn about different instruments and play together. Iowa State University showed a 3D printer, Little Bits and virtual reality. There was also an R2-D2 and many other makers, robots and ways people could learn and engage, along with several young entrepreneurs.

There are already plans for 2015. Will you be there?
